I've acquired an old Columbus mandolin, the machine heads are duff and need replacing. The problem is the post spacing is 24mm and I can't find anywhere that sells them.
Does anyone know where I might be able to get them from, preferably in the UK?
Many thanks
Guy

23.65mmm is the widest spacing I am aware of in a set of new pegs. That would be an approximately 1mmm difference across the four pegs (3 X .35mm). This was the measurement in many pre war mandolins.

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for getting back to me. Mine is not pre-war and it's only a cheap mandolin probably built in the far east. I was given it but I would like to get it playable.
Researching further, 24mm is 15/16" so I'm surmising it was an Imperial measurement. Still looking LOL :-)
