I have been noticing that the floor price for some of the inexpensive mandolins have been going up. Perhaps this is an indication of wage improvement in China? This is a good thing?

You can't go wrong with the deal to be had at Music123 or Musicians friend. Includes case and two instruction books for beginners. Giving these as gifts for others to start up on Mandolin.
